On July 13 2026, BetterMind users will transition to an enhanced platform called NovoPsych

From July 2026, BetterMind users will begin transitioning to NovoPsych. This change will allow clinicians to continue using familiar psychometric tools while gaining access to a more modern platform, improved reporting, enhanced security infrastructure, and optional additional features such as NovoNote, NovoPsych’s AI clinical scribe.

How will the transition take place?
On July 13, BetterMind accounts will be transitioned to NovoPsych. You can use BetterMind as normal until then. After this date, the Login button on the Betterworld Healthcare website will direct users to the NovoPsych login page. Your BetterMind data will be available within NovoPsych.

What will not be transferred are any saved schedules, email templates, groups, batteries.

How much will NovoPsych cost?
For the first three months after the transition, BetterMind users will continue to be billed at their existing BetterMind subscription rate.

We will provide further information about pricing before any change takes effect, so users have time to understand their options.

How are NovoPsych and BetterMind similar?
BetterMind was originally built from an earlier version of NovoPsych. Because of this, the two platforms share the same core purpose: helping mental health professionals administer, score, interpret, and track psychometric assessments.
Both platforms are designed to support evidence-based psychological assessment and outcome monitoring.

Users familiar with BetterMind should find many aspects of NovoPsych familiar, particularly the emphasis on validated questionnaires, client tracking, and clinical reporting.

How is NovoPsych different from BetterMind?
NovoPsych is a newer and more advanced platform. It has received significant ongoing investment in software development, clinical features, assessment reporting, user experience, and security.

The transition to NovoPsych means BetterMind users will be moving onto a platform that is actively maintained and continually improved.

How is my data secured?
NovoPsych uses modern security and data protection practices designed for sensitive clinical information. The platform includes safeguards for account access, data storage, privacy, and secure transmission of information.

NovoPsych takes privacy and clinical data protection seriously and is designed to support the needs of healthcare professionals handling sensitive client information.

Is NovoPsych HIPAA compliant?
Yes. NovoPsych is designed to support HIPAA-compliant use by healthcare professionals.

NovoPsych maintains administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect health information and support secure clinical workflows. This includes protections around data storage, access control, and transmission of sensitive information.
Clinicians and organizations are also responsible for using the platform in accordance with their own professional, legal, and regulatory obligations.

Why is BetterMind being decommissioned?
BetterMind and NovoPsych were historically operated as separate brands, with BetterMind serving the United States and North American market and NovoPsych serving the rest of the world.

Over time, NovoPsych has developed into a more advanced and actively maintained platform. Rather than continuing to maintain two separate systems, we are bringing BetterMind users onto NovoPsych so that all users can benefit from the same modern platform, ongoing development, improved security, and expanded clinical features.
Decommissioning BetterMind allows us to focus our development, support, and clinical resources on one unified platform.

What happens to the BetterMind app?
The BetterMind app will be turned off in late July 2026.

Before BetterMind is fully decommissioned, users who do not wish to transition should download any data they need from BetterMind.

I do not want to move to NovoPsych. What can I do?
If you do not wish to transition to NovoPsych, please contact us before the BetterMind app is turned off.

Please note that BetterMind will no longer be available after late July 2026, so users who do not transition to NovoPsych will need to make alternative arrangements before that time.

Do I need to create a new NovoPsych account?
In most cases, no. Your BetterMind account will be transitioned to NovoPsych, and you should be able to log in using your existing BetterMind account details.

If you experience any difficulty logging in after the transition, please contact support and we will assist you.

Can I transfer my data to NovoPsych sooner?
All data will be transferred on July 13th and we will not transfer data early. You can continue to use BetterMind up until that date. 

Will my clients notice any change?
The main change is that the platform will operate through NovoPsych rather than BetterMind. Depending on how you currently use BetterMind, clients may see NovoPsych branding when completing assessments or receiving assessment links.
The core clinical purpose remains the same: enabling clinicians to administer psychometric assessments and review results securely.

Will my assessment links still work?
You’ll need to generate new assessment links. Bcause BetterMind is being decommissioned, users should begin using NovoPsych for new assessment activity after the transition date.

We recommend checking your existing client workflows after logging in to NovoPsych and updating any saved schedules, templates, or practice instructions that refer to BetterMind.
